I came across this post on Gawker today and thought it was very interesting.
at the deepest level, they make a good point, as more and more retailing goes online instead of main street, this aspect of our economy will increasingly be out of sight, and maybe even out of mind.
But also on a more superficial level, it's interesting that some people love it and some people hate it. It's not like WalMart, which everybody loves to hate.
